June 27, 28 and 29 2003 is the Comicfestival in Dordrecht, Holland.
For the eleventh time the comicfestival "Stripfestijn" will be in Dordrecht, an every two year festival dominated by small-press with expositions, workshops, theatre, music and a comic fair.

On several locations in the centre of Dordrecht there will be several comic-related expositions during the Comicfestival. After the 29th of June you can still visit some of the expositions!

The official opening of the festival takes place in Pictura, Voorstraat 190/192 during the opening of the exposition of comic-related paintings by Luuk Bode, Friday June 27 at 19.00. Hans Spigt, council member of arts of the city of Dordrecht will open the festival and everyone is welcome. During the opening there will be a performance of Lamelos.

The debuutalbum of Sandra de Haan (TeeVee BlaBlaZee) will be presented during the festival.
The list of attending comic artists at the comicfair has been further extended!
Eric Heuvel (The Discovery, Bud Broadway and January Jones) will sign at the comicfair on Sunday June 29 from 11.00 till 13.00.
At Nu Komix; Jeroen Janssen (A nightingale in the city).
Wouter Gresnigt (Buffet on the walk) also comes, with a buffet on the walk.
Caricaturist Fer Laurens, the man who draws more rapidly than his own shadow will also be present at the comicfair.

Movies As from Thursday 26 June PIGLET'S BIG MOVIE, the newest Disney movie, will be shown every afternoon in Euro Cinema, Visstraat 50.

Expositions Also at the CBK will be an exposition of "the Dordrecht underground collection" by Pieter Sandijk.

In the window of Groenmarkt 50 there will be a small exposition of Lassa, for people as from 2 years old.

Music at the comicfair The bands playing at the comicfair are: Koko, The Rythm Chiefs and Duo Ja.

Sunday  29 of June Comicfair at the Scheffersplein from 11.00 - 18.00.
With a lot of comic artists from all over Europe, music from Koko (blues, surf-cocktail), The Rythm Chiefs (blues, r&b, country, rockabilly) and Duo Ja. There will also be theatre performed by Jeroen de Leijer.

A workshop how to become a comic artist will be in the Berckepoort, Voorstraat 220 at Saturday (June 28) and Sunday (June 29) for the 10 to 18 yearold.
